About Oslo Solidarity

Gaza has shown the world that international laws and conventions do not apply to everyone. And if they don’t apply to everyone, they apply to no one — not even us. Oslo Solidarity works for universal human rights and against all forms of oppression. Our current focus is on Gaza, the West Bank, and the Palestinian refugees who are denied the right to return home.

We produce videos to inform, inspire, and wake people up; we participate in public debates, write opinion pieces, and spread information.

In 2024, we held the first The Oslo Conversations at Vulkan Arena, featuring Ilan Pappé, Mustafa Barghouti, Mads Gilbert, and Ingrid Fiskaa. The event sold out, and more conversations like this are planned. The solidarity concert we organized together with the Artists’ Mixed Choir for Palestine — New Year’s Pledge for Gaza (Nyttårsløfter For Gaza) at Oslo Concert Hall — also sold out. Although the main goal of the concert was to inspire greater solidarity and create a space where engaged people could meet and feel each other’s warmth and commitment, it still generated €75,000, which we donated in full to the Palestinian Medical Relief Society. Contributing artists included Arve Tellefsen, Åge Aleksandersen, Frida Ånnevik, Marit Larsen, Erlend Ropstad, Lars Vaular, Fay Wildhagen, and Sondre Lerche.

We are currently preparing New Year’s Pledges for Gaza 2026 in Oslo, and we are working to spread this initiative to other countries and cities. We aim to build connections across borders, as supporting Palestine abroad is often more challenging than it is in Norway. We are also working internationally through Mads Gilbert’s extensive network and his decades-long involvement in medical solidarity work and media.

We are engaged in many other projects that we cannot disclose at this time.
